Some of our Favorite Restaurants

TARPON DINING
Captain Jack’s We recommend their quesadillas and hot wings but not much else on the menu. The place gets far too crowded for Friday nights or the weekend unless you go for an early lunch. We go here strictly for the breezy atmosphere on their open deck on the water and not the food or the live music. Lunch and Dinner.
Lime – n – Coconut Our favorite funky place in Tarpon. The owners are local and most of the crowd is too. This is Tarpon's best kept secret and we like to keep it that way. The Caribbean influenced food is excellent and if you drink beer their happy hour prices on pitchers are the best in town. Lunch and Dinner
Cody’s Always loud and crowed but we go here anyway because the corporate trained servers are efficient and friendly and the wait time on your food is short. Happy hour drinks are 2 for 1 and you can munch out of the bucket of free peanuts on your table while you wait. Their wings here are great and they often have steak specials that are very reasonable. Dinner only.
Currents Right on Tarpon Avenue. Excellent menu. New place so no official website yet but it has been getting rave reviews and we love the food and wine menu.
Roadies Pancake House We always go for breakfast here. I am not sure why since the food is consistent but nothing to write home about. The service though is very good and their pancakes are pretty tasty and they have a convenient location at the corner or Meres and Alt Route 19. Breakfast and Lunch.
Manzonis Under new ownership. At the corner of Tarpon Avenue and the Hiking Trail. Great location, easy to find. Good Italian food, great service, wonderful tapas, but a bit pricey. Happy hour and a great little bar. Dinner only.
Chili’s Convenient location. Food is consistent. Good service. It is an easy choice. Great margaritas. Lunch and Dinner.
Hiros Great Sushi. Well priced dinners. Sit at the bar area or in the main dining room for a wonderful dinner where the chefs prepare the food at your own table. Great performance and lots of fun. Free dinner on your birthday. Dinner only.
Toula’s Trailside Café Cute place next to the bike rental shop. Locally owned and the owners try hard to make everything homemade. Good place to hit for breakfast if you intend to go to the library after which is close by. Breakfast and Lunch.
Mr. Souvlaki Very good traditional Greek food. One of the best in town. Well priced, clean, good service. Relaxed atmosphere. Lunch and Dinner.
PALM HARBOR DINING
Casa Ludovico We like this place a lot, but the quality of the food is not consistent. Their filet mignon gorgonzola is always excellent; the pasta dishes can be disappointing. Good service. Good wine selection. Excellent desserts. A bit pricey. Dinner only.
Carrabbas Another big chain, but they do a great job and the food is consistently good. Great happy hour drinks, good service, very clean. Can get a bit crowded on Fridays and week ends.
Dinner only.
Ozona Blue Informal, lively atmosphere. We don’t go there for the food, which is average, but for the wonderful view of the water and to enjoy the sunsets. Live music in the evenings. Can get crowded during week ends and the winter season. Lunch and Dinner.
Massimos We have not tried this restaurant yet, but it has been highly recommended. It offers a traditional Italian menu with a large variety of entrees, appetizers, salads and desserts. Wine tasting events and cooking lessons by reservation. Awarded Best Chef award in 2008. A bit pricey. Lunch and Dinner.

Aunt Chiladas

Fantastic Mexican food from different regions of Mexico. In our opinion, one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Lunch and Dinner.
DUNEDIN DINING
Bon Appetit One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Never been disappointed. Great views of the bay if you sit by a window. Very good service, wonderful food. We like the white tablecloths, the wonderful breads and the international servers. Lunch and Dinner
Café al Fresco Informal and friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent, wonderful ice cream desserts, delicious cappuccino. Very clean. Lunch and Dinner.
The Black Pearl We have not been here, but hear is quite pricey. It was recommended by a friend so please report back if you do eat here. Reservations required. Dinner only.
Kellys Very busy on weekends or when there is a street festival in Dunedin. But, their food is pretty good and if you are spending the day walking around Dunedin or on your way home from Honeymoon or Caladesi Island, this is a nice stop. One of the best breakfast menus in town. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
CLEARWATER RESTAURANTS
Island Way Grill We tried this place for their Sunday brunch and it was quite the experience. A great variety of wonderful foods and plenty of it. A bit pricey. Dinner only except for the Sunday brunch.
ST PETE DINING

The Venue Beautifully designed with several different restaurants in the premises. Our favorite is the Japanese restaurant which serves wonderful sushi and a variety of Asian food. A large semi circular bar dominates the entrance featuring a live band above the bar. Dine indoors or outdoors. Dinner only.
Don Cesar Spectacular pink hotel. We stop here for brunch when headed to Ft. DeSoto for the day. Food is very good and you can lunch overlooking the beach. Check out their webcam. Lunch and Dinner.
